Young Artists

 

Young Artists Program

The Young Artists program is a year round program designed for students ages 8 - 17 with execptional talent and a committment to onging dance study. Addmission to the Young Artists program is through audition ONLY.

Students are required to commit to 1 - Full year of study, beginning with a 6 Week Summer Workshop and continues through both Fall and Spring, culminating in an annual trip.

Past trips have included Dance the World Disney, Florida Dance Masters in Orlando, Florida, the National Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington, DC and the International Association of Blacks in Dance Festival and Conference in Washington, DC.

Additional opportunities for the group include performances throughout the community, ongoing artistic development and mentoring, special recognition and feature roles in BE Dance productions and advertising.

To join the Young Artists program, take the first step and audition. The next round of Young Artists scholarship and admission auditions will take place:

Young Artists take a minimum of 3 hours of classes per week, including Ballet & Repertory. Additional classes may included Acrobatics, Jazz, Modern and Tap.

Young Artists participate in an annual travel performance opportunity. To be considered for participation, students must participate in Summer classes.
